Congratulations to this week’s Shell Fill-Up Friday winner, Sacramento Chapter member Lacha Kayavong, who won a $50 Shell fuel card thanks to this picture of his awesome E92 M3!
The M3 is something special inside and out as well. “My favorite thing about my car is that fact that it’s a Dinan M3 that was built by Carbahn Autoworks in San Jose—and signed by Steve Dinan himself. The car is a 6-speed, which will always be kept naturally aspirated and is built for track and autocross. That’s why the roll cage was installed recently.”
Lacha’s BMW CCA membership began earlier than this wicked-fun build, however. “I discovered the BMW CCA when I met other BMW enthusiasts before Legends Of The Autobahn. They convinced me to sign up and attend the event. I’ve met so many cool people from being a member—and now they’re considered good friends, too.”
The community atmosphere, like many members, is what keeps him involved. “On top of learning a lot of new things about other makes and models of BMW cars, it’s a wonderful club to be a part of, and I see a lot of good changes being made. Hopefully our local chapter will continue to grow and get younger generations to join as members. I recently just renewed my membership for another 3 years, so I’ll be around for a little while.”
