The Tire Rack BMW CCA Club Racing series has announced a 23-event schedule for 2021. The new season is set to begin February 27–28 at Road Atlanta and end with the traditional Roebling Road event on December 10–12. Five of the 23 events planned are listed as “pending,” with final arrangements yet to be concluded. Among the pending events are return dates at Mid-Ohio and Lime Rock Park; the series has not run at Lime Rock since 2007.
Club Racing leadership posted the following announcement along with the schedule:
“BMW CCA Club Racing is delighted to post our preliminary 2021 Racing Schedule–you’ll see we are looking forward to a great year, with a 23 races planned at seventeen different tracks. We are as always indebted to our sponsors, to our partner BMW CCA chapters around the country for their support, and to the many BMW CCA Club Racing volunteers who all make racing with us a reality.
And here’s the fine print: We need to be able to get our volunteers to these events, and while recent pandemic news is moving in a positive direction, we need to make the disclaimer that we have signed up for a robust schedule, with delivery dependent on improved conditions for travel. We will keep everyone in the loop as the season approaches, and encourage you to watch this space!
