To those who attended the 2020 running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona, whether as part of the BMW Car Club of America corral and tours, or simply die-hard race fans, they will know it was an interesting year. The weather, combined with the smaller field, set up conditions perfect for, as BMW of North America Motorsport Manager Victor Leleu put it, “a 24-hour sprint.” In fact, the winning BMW Team RLL M8 GTE and the second-place Porsche were separated by just six seconds after 24 hours of nonstop racing and strategy.

If you haven’t yet, check out Brian Morgan’s coverage of the race results (spoiler alert: BMW won), but for a teaser of all the mid-race action, take a look at the video above, courtesy of BMW of North America. There’s plenty more video content to come out of the race, especially considering the seemingly-endless passes for first place between the Porsche 911 GTLM and BMW M8 GTE over the course of the race.

Keep an eye out for more videos, and mark your calendars for this year’s Super Sebring event from March 18–21, 2020.—David Rose
