Congratulations to this week’s Shell Fill-Up Friday winner, Motor City Chapter member Nick DeGalan, who won a $50 Shell gift card thanks to this picture of his E30 filling up at Shell!
“This car has been in one family its whole life,” said Nick. “It was originally my mom’s car; we got it when I was about six or seven years old. I’m fortunate to have been present for most of its 180,000 miles. It has been slowly turning more track-focused over the years. After blowing the engine at Mid-Ohio a few years ago, it got a new heart and now has a Metric Mechanic 2.1-liter stroker in place of the original M42.”
Asked how he originally discovered the BMW CCA, he said, “Growing up I’ve always been interested in cars and got to learn to drive a stick. My dad took me to a BMW CCA car-control clinic, and the rest is history! My favorite things about being a member of the club are the driving events and the people. I love that I’m able to give back at HPDE events now that I’m instructing at with the Motor City Chapter.”
