Philipp Eng’s fourth-place finish in Race Two was BMW’s best result of the DTM weekend at Zandvoort in the Netherlands. Augusto Farfus finished just behind him in fifth, and Timo Glock recovered from a stall at the start to finish tenth. The win, in a race which marked the end of the first half of the DTM season, went to Audi’s Rene Rast; it was Audi’s first win of the season.

On Saturday, M4 DTM racers Glock, Farfus, Marco Wittmann, and Joel Eriksson finished sixth through ninth. The win went to Mercedes’ Gary Paffett.

Going into the next DTM event of the season at Brands Hatch in the UK in August, Glock is third in drivers’ points and Wittmann is fourth, while Mercedes racers Paffett and Paul Di Resta are first and second. BMW is second to Mercedes in manufacturers’ points.—Brian Morgan
