BMW will be celebrating at multiple venues over the next two weeks during Monterey Car Week and the BMW Car Club of America events.

Our friends at CTVNews report that “BMW promises a Pebble Beach to remember” with events that start at the Rolex Motorsports Reunion on August 19.

“The week starts at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion on August 18 and BMW will be showing 64 vintage race cars including 3.0 CSLs, M1 Pro Cars and 328s.

On August 19 at The Quail – A Motorsports Gathering, BMW will be unveiling a concept car to mark the 50th anniversary of its 2002 coupe, the first European production car to embrace turbocharging and the model that put BMW and the coupé shape on the map as objects of automotive desire.

Meanwhile for the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, on August 21 the company will be showing every important car in its history including its Alexander Calder and Jeff Koons painted Art Cars, and its 1937 and 1940 Mille Miglia-winners.

One of the absolute highlights is bound to be the official public unveiling of a 1958 BMW 507 that once belonged to Elvis Presley himself.”

BMW CCA’s events start with the Legends of the Autobahn, a German-marque concours at the Nicklaus Club-Monterey.

Legends Of The Autobahn® is an all-German marque Concours d’Elegance held at the prestigious Nicklaus Club-Monterey during Monterey, California’s famed Pebble Beach Concours week.

Legends is hosted by the BMW Car Club of America, the Mercedes—Benz Club of America, and the Audi Club of America. The annual concours event offers both corral and judged areas, awards for all three featured marques, and an open class for all other German—made cars. The show field also features displays from manufacturers, sponsors, and vendors, along with several lunch options, and an available breakfast.

Each year, the concours draws over 400 registered cars and over 3,000 spectators that fill the fairways of the Nicklaus Club-Monterey. Spectators are regularly greeted by rare and historically significant models, as well as factory-prepared specials. And the 2016 edition of the show is particularly special as Legends kicks off the 100th anniversary celebration for BMW in Monterey and will be the first of three events that compose the Celebrate BMW festival hosted by the BMW CCA.

Learn more about Legends here. Spectators can attend the August 19 event for free.

As Legends concludes, the BMW CCA Festorics races run on August 20-21, featuring classic cars racing at the Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca.

Festorics is a celebration of the diversity and the mystique of BMW, the cars and their owners and our appreciation for the brand. Since its beginnings Festorics has improved year by year in every one of the aspects by what this event is measured; the exciting setting, the hospitality, the efficient organization, our enthusiastic audience, the awareness at BMW NA, and above all, the elegance, originality and state of preservation of the participating automobiles.

After Festorics comes BMW CCA’s main event, the week-long Oktoberfest celebration of everything BMW. And this year, the celebration will be even larger, as it’s geared up to Celebrate BMW and it’s 100 year anniversary.
