Congratulations to this week’s Garage Goals winner, Windy City Chapter member Jason Rybinski! Rybinski has won $25 gift cards from Shop BMW CCA and Griot’s Garage thanks to this picture of his 328 xDrive M Sport Wagon and awesome garage floor!
“At the beginning of quarantine, one of our projects was re-organizing the garage,” said Rybinski. “In the process, we decided to drywall and add lighting. Once that project was completed, the concrete floor really started to bother me, so I began researching epoxy and polyurea floor coatings. I thought that I’d settled on the polyurea, but ultimately that route seemed too labor-intensive and expensive. Luckily, I found Garage Flooring LLC of Colorado and ordered some samples. My wife worked with the online design tool and created multiple options to choose from. Ultimately, my daughters and I settled on the M sport stripes, and we all love it. My girls think it’s so great that they want to have dance parties and slumber parties in the garage now!”
Asked how he discovered the BMW CCA, Rybinski said, “When my dad bought a CPO 5 series, I convinced him to join. At the time, I had a VW Corrado and never thought to join myself. A few years later, I bought my friend’s ’98 M3 sedan and joined the BMW CCA. I have been a member ever since.”
“I wanted to be around others that had the same passion for BMW as me, as well as to experience the great events that the club offers. I’d love to participate more, but at this stage of life most of my time is spent attending my girls’ sporting events and other extracurricular activities.”
Tell us more about your BMW!
“This is my fourth BMW. It is a 2015 328i and my second wagon. I started my BMW journey with a pristine ’98 M3 sedan followed by an ’04 E46 Touring (which another club member now owns), an ’08 X3 Sport, and now my 328i xDrive M sport wagon. I really love the BMW wagons and have been doing some upgrades lately. I put some Michelin Pilot 4S on to replace the run-flats, an M performance exhaust, and M sport rear diffuser. I’m thinking of doing the suspension and M performance brakes. Last summer, we took an awesome road trip to Vermont, and the drive was incredible! While I love this car, I had the opportunity to drive the X3 M40i and really loved that engine. I have to say that I would love it if BMW brought the M340i Touring to the U.S. While I like the X3, the M340i Touring would be the perfect car for me and I would buy one. We want wagons in the US!”
