With his win in the second British Touring Car Championship race at Snetterton on August 4, Colin Turkington in the #1 BMW 330i M Sport took West Surrey Racing’s tenth win of the season and its 200th victory in the series.

Turkington finished fourth in race one and tenth in race three. His teammate Andrew Jordan was fifth in race one, third in race two, and sixth in race three. Tom Oliphant in the third WSR car finished sixteenth in race one and eleventh in race two, and retired from race three. The win in race one went to Tom Ingram in a Toyota Corolla, while the race three win went to Rory Butcher in a Honda Civic Type R.

With four events remaining in the season, Turkington leads drivers’ points, and Jordan is second, while BMW leads manufacturers’ points, and Team BMW/WSR leads team points. The next event will be run at Thruxton on August 18.—Brian Morgan
