As we head into winter and prepare for the future driving season, it’s always a great time to take a look back at the past summer, including the 49th Annual BMW CCA Oktoberfest Presented by Michelin. O’Fest 2018 was fantastic, and being combined with the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix made it a must-attend event last summer.
While PVGP is certainly one of the most memorable components, O’Fest attendees got to experience two days of driving schools and high performance driving on and around the Pittsburgh International Race Complex. There was autocross, HPDE, and karting—but there was also an old favorite, the Michelin Drive and Compare.
As usual, members got to jump in two brand-new F80 M3s, and thrash two distinct types of tires head to head. This time, it was the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S and the all-weather option, the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3.
