Congratulations to Lonestar Chapter member Brian Cichocki, our latest Shell Fill-Up Friday winner! Brian’s post featuring his heavily-modified 1991 U.S.-market M5 has won him a $25 Shell gift card! “My father [pictured in the passenger seat] first joined the CCA around 1982, so I have been aware of the club for as long as I can remember,” says Brian.
Asked what got him to join the club, he says, “After buying my first E34 M5—this black car—in the summer of 2017, I got hit by the BMW bug hard, and decided that I should become a member. I now have a total of five E34 M5s, one of which I found through the BMW CCA classifieds a couple of months ago,” he adds.
His favorite thing about being a member? “The camaraderie and genuine enthusiast nature of the club. I’ve made some great friends in a short time,” says Brian.
And the M5? Tell us more! “This car is a 1991 U.S.-market M5. It is heavily modified with a 3.8-liter Stage 2 stroker engine built by Korman Autoworks in North Carolina, late-model ’95 European M5 brakes with four-piston calipers and 385-mm floating rotors, Moosehead Engineering spherical bearings in the control arms, Ground Control coil-overs at all four corners, Racing Dynamics strut brace and sway bars, 9″ square forged M-System wheels with original turbine covers, full Supersprint exhaust from the headers back, and an AC Schnitzer trunk wing,” says Brian.
