The MS&AD Andretti Formula E team has announced that Stephane Sarrazin will replace Tom Blomqvist for the remaining races of the current season, including the Berlin race in May, the Zurich race in June, and the two Brooklyn races in July. Sarrazin ran 33 Formula E races over the first three seasons of the series with the Venturi and Techeetah teams, scoring a number of podium finishes. His best finish was second overall for Venturi at Long Beach in 2016.
Blomqvist, a BMW factory driver, replaced Kamui Kobayashi on the Andretti team after the first two races of Season Four; he finished eighth in his first race at Marrakesh but has not finished in the points since then. He will continue in the Team MTEK M8 GTE WEC program, and he will run in other endurance races as well, among them the 24 Hours Of Nürburgring.
