Congratulations to this week’s Garage Goals winner, New Jersey Chapter member Kevin Broughton! Broughton has won $25 gift cards from Shop BMW CCA and Griot’s Garage thanks to this picture of his amazing garage setup featuring his M340i xDrive!
“I have been spending a lot of time at home since March,” said Broughton. “My wife and I have been working from home, and our three daughters are doing virtual learning for school. My wife started it off by cleaning out the attic, that led to me organizing the garage to make space for the Peloton bike I had just ordered!”
Asked how he found out about the BMW CCA, Broughton said, “I originally discovered the BMW CCA when I purchased my first BMW, an E46 328Ci manual. We loved it so much, we attended a BMW driving event for the first X5 in November 1999 and ordered an X5 3.0i manual for my wife soon after for a South Carolina Performance Center delivery. She drove that X5 for ten years, putting 258,000 miles on it, and we didn’t change the clutch until 150,000—and that was only because the flywheel started to chatter. One thing I really enjoy with the club is the autocross events; it’s always great to see who and what cars will show up!”
Tell us more about your BMW and your amazing garage setup! “This past December, I traded in my F10 535i xDrive M Sport for the new M340i xDrive in Dravit Grey over Cognac! OMG, I love this car! BMW has brought the fun back to the 3 Series with the G20 M340i. Being stuck in the house all day on the computer, I get finished with work and just go out to drive!”

“My wife wanted me to do something like epoxy the floors, but we found it was too involved—and the company never called us back. While up one night on YouTube, I came across an obsessed garage episode about Swisstrax flooring. I immediately went to their site to build my flooring—loved their 2D/3D simulator! Once my wife saw the floor I built, she gave me the green light, plus Father’s Day was coming up!
“I had the flooring within a week, then worked on cleaning and painting for the next two weeks. It turned out so well: Not only was it a great place for the Peloton, it was my new man cave! There was one thing missing, though—a TV—that completed everything! Not only do I have a place to work out, wash and detail the car, and watch movies, it’s a place to hang out when the fellas stop by. My buddies say my garage looks like I parked my car in the living room! That being said, I have the best living room—with a great piece of art right in the middle of the floor!”
