The ultimate Coachella Valley BMW experience is just two weeks away! September 21–24, BMW CCA members will convene at the La Quinta Resort and the BMW Performance Center West for an extended weekend of performance driving and sight-seeing.
The second-annual Pazifik Eskapade experience, organized by the Pacific Region Chapters of the BMW CCA, has something for everyone, combining fantastic driving experiences with stunning scenery and a world-class track. With the fantastic La Quinta resort (where BMW hosts the world’s media during their own Thermal Club activities) as the home base, all the amenities of Palm Springs and the nearby national parks are a beautiful drive away.
But we know what you’ll be there for. The performance-driving portion of the weekend includes a half-day Performance Center Driving Experience on Saturday (providing a wide-ranging sample of BMW’s latest offerings) and full-day M Schools on both Sunday and Monday!
If you haven’t been to BMW Performance Center West, don’t worry; all your performance-driving needs are taken care, of thanks to the professional instruction and world-class facilities of the Thermal Club. Put BMW M cars through extensive exercises, designed to take your driving skills to the next level—and then apply those skills on the fast, flowing Thermal Club tracks.
We can also confirm that sunsets every night are beautiful, making the picturesque desert view a great addition to Saturday night’s dinner at the BMW Performance Center West facility.
While the driving schools are ongoing, family members who are not participating in the on-track thrills can enjoy the surrounding desert. There’s more to do and see in the Coachella Valley than you think. There are hot-air balloons, museums, toffee factories, wind-farm tours, electric rental bikes, and much, much more. Or you can relax by the pool or be pampered at the hotel spa. There are two organized tours for you to enjoy: a driving tour of the Salton Sea on Saturday and a private safari at the Living Desert and Zoo on Sunday.
