JOIN THE ULTIMATE DRIVING MUSEUM AS WE OPEN THE MINI EXHIBIT APRIL 30
The MINIs To The Max: 65 Years of Spirited Adventures exhibit is going to be a fun one! We want everyone to experience the exhibit, and we have three different opportunities for you to join us during the opening. Be one of the first to see the exciting MINI exhibit, hear the story of the past 65 years from the enthusiasts, and learn about what MINI has planned with the new releases.
In 2024, MINI will be celebrating 65 years of fun and innovation and unveiling the fourth generation of the model range. While the original Mini is considered an icon of 1960s British popular culture, BMW has owned MINI as a brand for 28 years! Its space-saving transverse engine and front-wheel drive layout allowed 80% of the area of the car’s floor pan to be used for passengers and luggage and influenced a generation of car makers. Mini has a rich heritage of performance in race and rally cars, winning the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964, 1965, and 1967. Today MINI continues its racing heritage in the TC America Touring Car Series. BMW launched the new MINI in 2001 drawing inspiration from the original two-door design and brought significant performance improvements to the brand.
The MINIs To The Max exhibit will have 30 vehicles on display from Heritage, Motorsports, Limited editions, Quirky, and even the newest vehicles being made today. You will be able to meet the passionate owners, sponsors, and other enthusiasts like yourself. All are welcome to participate in these openings, see below for more information and to register for an event.
Opening Ceremony – Tuesday, April 30, 2024 – This evening will be dedicated to kicking off the opening of the exhibit. You will enjoy an evening surrounded with our sponsors, and owners. Embodying the spirit of fun and adventure, we will be holding a BBQ in the park! MINIs On The Dragon Open House – May 1, 2024 – Stop in on your way to the MINIs On The Dragon! We are welcoming all to join us for a drop in open house. You will be able to experience the exhibit in full at this open house. Each ticket will receive a commemorative collectible from the MINIs To The Max exhibit. Food trucks will be on site. The Vintage Open House – May 17, 2024 – Stop in on your way to The Vintage and you will see Heritage Minis, Motorsports, Quirky, Limited Editions, and the newest line of MINIs.
