The BMW CCA has joined forces with O’Fest sponsor M Car Covers to offer their popular vehicle covers at a discount to CCA members. These virtually custom-fit covers have been a hit with BMW owners for more than a decade, offering features not found on other covers and top notch customer service. Now enthusiasts can buy these covers directly through the BMW CCA, supporting our Club with every purchase.
“We’re really excited about this new partnership,” says Jason Kazian, Director of Marketing for the BMW CCA. “It’s a true win-win-win scenario—M Car Covers get a sale, our Club benefits, and most importantly, Club members get to enjoy a truly awesome product. BMW CCA prides itself with offering members amazing partners that further enhance any BMW ownership experience.”
M Car Covers are available for just about every BMW made since the 1960s, in three different versions: Select-Fleece is a soft, indoor cover that protects against dust and dings; Select-Fit is an outdoor/indoor cover made from an advanced, breathable fabric that sheds water; and Collector-Fit is a flannel-lined version of Select-Fit that provides extra pampering of the car’s finish. All three versions have multiple features in common:
- Shape-hugging patterns make them look as if they were custom made.
- Sewn-in bottom elastics ensure a taut fit, front and rear.
- Included quick-clip adjustment straps— located in the front, middle and rear of the cover—snug with a tug for an even more secure fit during high winds, while protective pockets make sure the clips don’t contact the finish.
- Lightweight material makes installation and removal super-easy.
- Covers pack up small (about the size of a case of soda) for space-saving storage in the included, easy-fill storage bag.
- Strategically placed vent pockets allow the wind to pass through and reduce fluttering of the cover against the car’s finish.
- Reflective stripes front and rear improve visibility in the dark—essential if your BMW is parked on the street or in a dimly lit parking garage.
- Free, vinyl-coated steel cable with keyed steel padlock deters thieves.
- Easy-to-follow Installation and care guide included (also emailed to you as a PDF).
On top of this, M Car Covers are backed by exceptional replacement warranties, a customer satisfaction guarantee with easy returns, and super-fast, and free shipping. Customers in the continental U.S. usually receive their covers in one or two business days.
Prices range from $129.95 to $169.95, which is significantly less than the typical $400-600 cost of custom covers.
To kick off this new partnership, M Car Covers is offering club members an exclusive discount during the holiday season. Use code CCA23 at checkout to receive an additional $10 off.
A Product Born From Passion
M Car Covers Founder and CEO Dan De Vlieger was inspired to create the business by his first dream car, a five-speed manual 1988 BMW 635CSi (E24). De Vlieger was introduced to this particular special-ordered E24 when he worked for a distribution company and his manager purchased it new.
It wasn’t until nearly a decade later that it came into De Vlieger’s possession when he bought it from the original owner, that same distribution company manager. De Vlieger laughs, “I thought it would be too brash for a youngster like me to show up at the warehouse driving the boss’s E24, so I continued to drive my Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera to work, but the desire to propel that beast was so strong, I’d get up at 3am and go driving for an hour or two before heading to the office.”
De Vlieger took pride in his 635CSi and enjoyed customizing it. He says, “I restored and accessorized that car using the Bavarian Autosport catalog as my bible.” The 9/11 attacks and the SARS epidemic made De Vlieger reflect on life and realize he wanted to make a living from his lifelong passion for cars. This began with building a Saab accessories website in his spare time, similar to Bavarian Autosport’s catalog.
In 2004, De Vlieger sold his E24 to fund printing and mailing the Saab catalog, and when orders started rolling in he realized, “One of our best-selling product lines early on was car covers. I couldn’t believe how much money they were getting for those custom covers. I thought there had to be a way to build something just as good at protecting the cars but way more affordable. So, in 2012 I launched Microbead Car Covers, [which later became M Car Covers].”
Even though it was originally launched as a Saab-based business, M Car Covers now sells covers for dozens of marques. De Vlieger reflects, “My passion for BMWs has never waned. Since I sold my E24, I have owned a 2006 X5, a 2001 Z3, and a 2008 X5. I currently own a 2018 4 Series xDrive convertible, as well as a 2012 MINI Countryman S. My dream is to get another E24 or maybe a 3.0 CS—once the kids are out of college.”
De Vlieger says he’s excited about the new partnership with BMW CCA. “I loved attending O’Fest, meeting club members face-to-face, and hearing all the positive feedback about our covers. I hope this program helps the club while giving my fellow BMW enthusiasts a quality product they can use for years to come.”
