Sacramento, California – “Though she be but little, she is fierce!” – William Shakespeare

Patricia passed away peacefully on April 7, 2023 after a brief illness. She will be remembered as an extremely dedicated fan of auto racing, an international collector of vintage cars – BMW and Porsche, a devoted grandmother, and a true lover of animals. An unstoppable spirit, she strove to be the best at whatever she set out to do. Patricia thoroughly enjoyed being the only female recognized as a top salesperson at SWEPCO, a Texas performance lubricant company, for whom she worked for over five decades.

Her passion for auto sports pushed her family racing team to the top of the field for over 50 years, earning international recognition for finding and restoring important race cars, and winning several championships. She built the family auto collection, chasing down the impossible to find parts from all over the world. She was someone you really wanted to have on your side.

She was a member of the BMW CCA, and she served as president of the Sacramento Valley Chapter for many years. She was proud of managing events at Laguna Seca, Sonoma Raceway, and other racing venues, while editing the monthly Bimmer magazine for the Sacramento Valley Chapter BMW CCA.

She had an eye for quality, especially in cars and horses. She supported her daughter & granddaughter at numerous horse shows, always outfitting her entries with the best.

Patricia leaves behind a daughter, a granddaughter, and a sister. A memorial service will be held at the California Automotive Museum on Front Street, Sacramento on May 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Bring your favorite car to display in the parking lot.
