Andrew Jordan in the #77 West Surrey Racing 330i M Sport, coming back after an accident that sent him to the hospital in the last British Touring Car event, won both race one and race two on the series’ May 18–19 weekend at Thruxton. His WSR teammate Colin Turkington finished fourth in race one, and second in race two.
Stephen Jelley in the Team Parker Racing 125i M Sport finished thirteenth in race one and eighteenth in race two, and Tom Oliphant in the third West Surrey Racing 330i finished 23rd in race one and fourteenth in race two.
In the third race, won by Honda’s Josh Cook, Oliphant, in seventh place, was the best BMW finisher. Turkington was ninth, Jelley was twelfth, and Jordan was seventeenth.
Turkington leads drivers’ points going into the series’ next event at Croft on June 15–16.—Brian Morgan
