As some of you may have heard, current CTSC points leader BimmerWorld has been running a promotion for charity over the past several weeks. The effort is part of their Racing to End Alzheimer’s campaign, and up to the deadline of September 1, gave enthusiasts and race fans the opportunity to get their names (or the name of a loved one) on the #81 BMW 328i.
The BimmerWorld team has had pretty consistent season so far in the Continental SportsCar Challenge, support series to the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and in the ST class, the #81 car is currently leading in points. The IMSA race at Laguna Seca on September 8 will be a great opportunity to see some BMWs out in front—and emblazoned with donors’ names.
While the period to prep the livery has closed, you can still donate to the cause. We look forward to seeing all the BMWs in the field compete in Monterey this weekend! —David Rose
