Ten years ago, the BMW CCA’s National Capital Chapter introduced a combined event to capture the spirit of BMW performance driving. What started as a 250-person driving school and autocross has become, a decade later, a 1,000-person festival of (BMW-related) speed. The event, known as Chapterfest, has attracted members up and down the east coast will be held in just a couple weeks on May 12—and this could be your year to get in on the action!

This year’s on-track events include the Radial Tire HPDE at the Summit Point’s Main Circuit, as well as an autocross on Washington Circuit, and a Highway Safety school on the Jefferson Circuit. That’s already a lot for the one-day program, but the itinerary also features a Cars-and-Coffee in the morning at the Summit Point paddock, as well as a Chapterfest Tour de Summit Point driving tour for those looking for a fun drive through the West Central Maryland countryside. A barbecue and refreshments will also be available to members.
