The Tire Rack Street Survival program simply would not exist without the organizations that host the more than 100 schools conducted each year, and the hundreds of volunteer organizers, registrars, in-car coaches, classroom instructors, and other volunteers who make every one of those schools happen. For the past four years, Tire Rack Street Survival has honored selected organizations and volunteers with the Circle of Excellence awards.

The awards are funded by an anonymous donor. The selectees receive awards ranging from special jackets to a garage makeover, in addition to being formally recognized in the BMW CCA Foundation headquarters.

Selections have been made for the 2017 Tire Rack Street Survival Circle of Excellence Awards. Here are the honorees:

Organization Volunteer/Instructor of the Year, BMW Car Club of America:
Doug Brown, Boston Chapter

Congratulations to all the selectees, and a sincere thank you to every person who volunteered to make Tire Rack Street Survival such an effective program for teaching newly minted teen drivers to better understand and operate the vehicles they drive, in order to avoid or correctly react to potentially dangerous situations!—Scott Blazey
