BMW has had a lot of success at Sebring International Raceway over the years, but they might have set a record for the number of wins over two days in the two SRO GT4 America races this past weekend of May 17-18, 2025. Over two hot and humid days in Florida with the temperatures in the upper 90’s, BMW teams won all three classes in both races, racking up six wins over the weekend.
The BMWs didn’t look all that competitive in qualifying. The #99 Random Vandals Racing M4 GT4 EVO of Kenton Koch and Kevin Boehm was the fastest BMW in both sessions but was only sixth fastest in qualifying for race one and race two. We’ve seen time and again that the BMWs race better than they qualify, and that was certainly the case at Sebring. In race one, Kevin Boehm worked his way to the front in the #99 car, and that car took the lead after pit stops, with Kenton Koch holding on for the win. “The track was slippery, and I was just trying to figure out how much I could push without it all falling off a cliff,” said Boehm. “I think I found that limit pretty well and started making some moves. Before I knew it, my stint was over. Huge credit to Kenton for taking over and doing what he does best.” The #52 Auto Technic Racing M4 GT4 EVO of Zac Anderson and Colin Garrett finished third in the Silver class.

One of the standout performances of the entire weekend was put in by the #94 Random Vandals Racing M4 GT4 EVO of Sam Craven and Josh Green (shown in top photo). The duo finished first in Pro-Am and an impressive second overall in race one after Green made a bold pass on the second and third place Silver class cars in turn seventeen on the last lap. “I heard the commentators talking about my move at the end there, going three-wide,” said Green. “I’ll just say, it was risk assessment. I thought about it, and when I got such a big run, I knew I’d clear them by the end of the straight, so I figured, why not go for it? Our car had so much pace, and I felt comfortable hanging back. But when it all came together, and I saw the cars behind and felt that run coming, I just went for it. And it worked out.”
The BimmerWorld Racing duo of Tyler McQuarrie and James Walker, Jr. also had a solid race in the Pro-Am class in race one, finishing fifth. BimmerWorld had more success in the Am class, with James Clay and Charlie Postins taking the class win in their #36 BMW, and they were joined on the podium by Fast Track Racing drivers Judson Holt and Denny Stripling, who finished third in their #188 M4 GT4 EVO.

Judson Holt and Denny Stripling finished third in Am in both races.
Race two went much the same as race one. The BMWs proved to be just as competitive and finished in almost the same order. Koch and Boehm took the win in the Silver class, Craven and Green finished second overall and first in Pro-Am. Anderson and Garrett finished fourth in Silver, and McQuarrie and Walker, Jr. finished fourth in Pro-Am.
The Am class also went the same way in race two, with BimmerWorld drivers James Clay and Charlie Postins getting their third straight win after Clay had a fantastic battle with Laura Hayes in the #606 Toyota Supra over the last lap, with Clay getting the win after making the pass for the lead on the last corner. “It was hot out there today, and the car was a real challenge,” said Clay. “The rear end started getting a bit soft and loose, so driving it in that condition was tough. Then, as soon as we hit traffic, I was pacing the cars behind and knew it was going to mess us up, and sure enough, it did. We got balked, and Laura did a great job making the pass. But on that last lap, with traffic still up ahead, I just said, ‘Forget it,’ turned the traction control off, and fired it into the final corner. Let it rip. It came out nice and clean, surprising, but that’s how you win. I’m proud of it.”

BimmerWorld drivers James Clay and Charlie Postins won both Am class races.
The #188 BMW of Holt and Stripling once again finished in third in Am in race two. All in all, BMW had nine podium finishes including six wins between the two races. GT4 America takes a bit of a summer break for now but will return to action at Virginia International Raceway on July 18th-20th.
