Kevin Siggy in a virtual BMW iFE.21 led from start to finish in the third ABB Formula E: Accelerate sim race of the season, run on a virtual Berlin Tempelhof Airport circuit on February 11. Petar Brljak in the second iFE.21 finished third.
The performance of the two racers moved BMW into the team points lead with three races remaining in the series. Siggy is second in drivers’ points to ROKiT Venturi Racing’s Erhan Jajovski, winner of the first two races.
Racers running in the series compete for their share of a €100,000 prize fund and an opportunity to drive an actual Gen2 Formula E car on a circuit during a race weekend.
Competition continues on Thursday, February 18 on a simulated Diriyah, Saudi Arabia circuit, just over a week before the all-electric Formula E series takes to the track at the actual Diriyah circuit to begin its Season 7.
