Thanks to a variety of trim (and power!) levels, efficiency, and luxurious touches, the BMW i4 appeals to a wide range of buyers in the market for a family sedan, from those new to BMW and the EV-curious brand loyalists who have been waiting for a well dressed and very compelling option.

KBB sales data through Q2 2024 reports an impressive 11,603 examples sold. This places the i4 well ahead of its electric BMW siblings such as the iX, which sold 6,490 examples, the i5 with 4,780 examples, and the i7, with 1,920 examples. Read the full KBB report here.

“The i4’s ability to outperform other luxury models like the Mercedes EQE and Audi Q4 e-tron indicates its strong market presence and the growing appeal of BMW’s electric offerings among buyers looking to dip their toes into the luxury EV market. This performance is a clear indicator that the i4 is not only leading within BMW’s lineup but is also making significant strides in the overall EV market.” – topspeed.com

An M Performance option is also available as the i4 M50, combining all-electric power and efficiency with the detailed design and expert engineering of BMW M that we love.
