The first and only production M3 Touring currently holds the title of fastest wagon to lap the Nürburgring, a record set in 2022. The long-roof rocketship only took 7:35 to complete the 12.9-mile road course, besting the previous record holder, a Mercedes AMG E63 S, by ten seconds.

Christian Gebhart of Sport Auto recently posted a video of his M3 Touring lap at the ‘Ring (filmed in May of 2023), which was nearly a second faster than BMW’s 2022 record-setting attempt. Riding on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s, measuring 275/35R19 in the front and 285/30R20 in the rear, Gebhart completed the circuit in 7:34.39.

Telemetry in the video shows Gebhart hitting up to 1.6 lateral Gs and speeds in excess of 285 kmh (177 mph). Sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of Gebhart piloting this performance people-hauler around one of the most famous race tracks in the world. —Mike Bevels
