Colin Turkington’s third place finish in race two was BMW’s best in the September 26 British Touring Car event at Silverstone. Turkington, in the #2 Team BMW/West Surrey Racing 330i M Sport, finished in the points in all three races, coming in sixth in race one and eighth in race two. The next best BMW finisher was Turkington’s teammate Stephen Jelly, who finished ninth, eighth, and fifth in races one through three.
Tom Oliphant in the third Team BMW/WSR car finished eleventh twice and twentieth once.
The Cicely Motorsport 330i M Sport racers had a difficult weekend, with Tom Chilton twentieth, thirteenth, and twenty-eighth in races one through three, and Adam Morgan not finishing race one and finishing seventeenth and eighteenth in races two and three.
Toyota race Rory Butcher won races one and two, and Ford’s Jake Hill won race three.
