BMW racers scored overall wins in the fifth and sixth rounds of the Nürburgring Endurance Series races on July 10–11. BMW Juniors Dan Harper, Neil Verhagen, and Max Hesse in the #44 M6 GT3 took the win on Saturday; it was their second consecutive win in the series.

The Juniors’ mentor Jochen Neerpasch said, “It’s further evidence of just how quickly our BMW Juniors learn. It wasn’t an easy race, and the race definitely wasn’t gifted to them, and they handled every situation well. Hats off to them, they made it to the front.”

On Sunday the Juniors were unable to start because of a shunt in qualifying, but Christian Krognes, David Pittard, and Ben Tuck in the #34 Walkenhorst M6 GT3 stepped in to score another win for the marque.

BMW teams scored a total of ten class wins in the two races. Among them were a pair of wins in the Cup 5 class, the M2 CS Racing Cup NLS, for the #875 FK Performance Motorsport car driven by Marc Ehret, Moritz Oberheim, and Nico Otto.—Brian Morgan
