ST Racing Hockenheim

Samantha Tan, Chandler Hull, Jon Miller, and Nick Wittmer in the #438 ST Racing M4 GT4 led the GT4 class in the Creventic 24H Series twelve-hour Hockenheim race after Saturday’s 6 ½ hours of racing. Unfortunately, the team had to retire the car during the 5 ½ hour Sunday portion of the race due to rear end damage.

The #401 PROSport Racing Aston Martin Vantage AM4 GT4 driven by Nico Verdonck, Rodrigue Gillion, and Kurt Henson fell back on Saturday after a lap one pit stop for a brake problem, but it recovered on the second leg to win the class. The Aston had won the class in the series’ previous race at Circuit Paul Ricard. After a strong start to the season, ST had to drop out of that race as well.

There is ample time for the team to return to its early-year form, as the season is not yet at the halfway point.

After a long break following the Hockenheim race, the series returns to competition on July 16–18 with a 24-hour race on the Portimao Circuit in Portugal. More information on the series and the schedule is available here.—Brian Morgan
