fe accelerate siggy

After six rounds of sim racing, the BMW i Andretti team finished the Formula E Accelerate season third in team points and their driver Kevin Siggy finished third in drivers’ points.

Siggy faded in the last two races of the season. In round five on the Electric Docks circuit he finished tenth, and in the finale on the Rome circuit he finished fourth, but was taken out of the points by a post-race time penalty.

The series’ drivers title went to Frederik Rasmussen, driving for Dragon/Penske, and second went to ROKIT Venturi Racing’s Erhan Jajovsiki. For his title, Rasmussen gets €20,000 and a drive in a real second-generation Formula E car.

Competition in the actual ABB Formula E series resumes on the streets of Rome on April 10–11. Formula E has just announced that both the Rome event and the Valencia event scheduled for April 24–25 will be double headers.—Brian Morgan
