The BMW CCA Foundation has just announced a brand-new event that is set for Friday and Saturday, October 23–24, 2020, in Greer, South Carolina. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the new GENESIS exhibit, compete in an autocross at the BMW Performance Center, visit the Zentrum, and a lot more!
- GENESIS: BMW From the Beginning Presented by The Werk Shop
- Car gathering at the BMW CCA Foundation
- BMW Corn Hole Competition
- Signed exhibition books by author Jackie Jouret
- BMW Zentrum Tours
- Visits the BMW CCA Headquarters and Apparel Store
- Autocross at the BMW Performance Center (Friday only)
- Food trucks
The Foundation’s GENESIS exhibit is an exceptional collection of BMWs from the beginning to 1965. They have twenty rare cars from the 1930 3/15 HP DA2 Cabriolet to a 1965 3200 CS, plus four BMW motorcycles. You may have seen one or two of these vehicles at events around the country, but now you get to see all of them in one place.
BMW Performance Center Autocross
The Performance Center is graciously conducting an autocross on one of its skid pads during Foundation Fest on Friday, October 23. Each participant will have three opportunities per session to run against the clock. You’ll be using the Performance Center’s M240i coupes, their tires, and gas. Each session is quick, probably the most exhilarating 30 seconds you’ll experience. The cost is $35 per session. Whoever has the best time gets a certificate to a One-Day M School! All proceeds go to the Foundation.
Visit the BMW CCA Headquarters
While you are in town for Foundation Fest, make the short two-mile drive over to the BMW CCA headquarters where you can shop the official on-site enthusiast apparel and accessories store. The store features the full line of t-shirts, polos, jackets, hats, grille badges, mugs, and wall art. While at the headquarters you can also check out this year’s Dream Car Raffle Grand Prize, the 1-of-1 M5 Competition build by Turn 14 in the display garage. The BMW CCA headquarters is located at 2350 Highway 101 S, Greer, SC 29651.
