“Due to the current state of the world and working from home, I have spent a lot of time in the garage lately,” said Justin. “I have been using the time to catch up on lots of maintenance and tackle a few big projects that were hanging over my head. Currently, I’m in the middle of reinforcing the trunk floor and subframe mount for my fiancee’s ’99 M Coupe. Next on the to do list is bringing our ’73 2002 back to life after the previous owner had left it sitting for over 10 years.”
How Justin discovered the BMW CCA.
Asked how he originally found out about the BMW CCA, he said, “I think I originally discovered the BMW CCA with the purchase of my first BMW project. It was a 1987 325 sedan that had been sitting for awhile and needed to be rescued. The car came complete with a BMW CCA grille badge, which was my first introduction to the club. I finally made the jump to join the club a few years ago with one of the Car of Your Dreams raffles. While I’ve never won, I have enjoyed sticking around for the wonderful issues of the Roundel and the local club.”

Tell us more about your fleet of BMWs! “I love my fleet! I have a five-speed 2002 325i Touring that has been swapped with the M54B30 from a 330i that is just about the best daily driver I can imagine. The 2009 135i is mostly saved for summer time and winding roads as a fun street car. Next is the ’97 M3 that is slowly being converted to dedicated track duty. The ’99 M coupe mentioned above is my fiancee’s nice weather daily driver. The coupe is far from perfect cosmetically, but it loves to be driven at 113k miles! It’s great owning such a unique BMW. Also mentioned above is the 1973 2002. The 2002 has been a dream car of ours for quite some time and recently fell into our lap with a bit of luck. My fiancee and I are both very excited to begin working on this one! Lastly, under the cover is a friends E30 prepped for Lemons/ChampCar, patiently waiting for seasons to resume.”
