Congratulations to this week’s Shell Fill-Up Friday winner, Kansas City Chapter member Chuck Vossler (IG @chuckvossler)—a Roundel writer, among his other pursuits!—who won a $50 Shell gift card thanks to this picture of his E92 M3 with Dinan upgrades.
“I bought it from a Windy City BMW CCA member out of Chicago in 2014,” says Chuck. “It checked all the right boxes for me: a late-2011 with newer taillights, competition package, and most important to me, a manual transmission. The previous owner had added a full Dinan intake, exhaust, and cross pipe, and obsessively maintained it. There was literally not even a crumb or speck of dirt in the seat tracks when I got it. I have kept up the obsessive maintenance à la Mike Miller’s schedule. I have added some killer HRE FlowForm wheels and a BMW Performance carbon-fiber spoiler. Other than needing a new battery at about seven years old, it’s been perfect.”
When asked what his favorite thing about being a member of the BMW CCA is, he said, “The old adage is true: Join for the cars, stay for the people. I have made lifelong friends in the club, and had experiences with BMWs I would have never had without the exposure from the club.”
Chuck seems to be pretty good at winning things, too, because he’s a former Car Of Your Dreams Raffle car winner as well; he won a main prize in the 2014 edition of the raffle.
When it comes to Shell fuel, Chuck says, “I love being on a road trip and finding a Shell station. I know my BMW will get quality fuel. I also love how my E92 M3 runs on their premium blend.”
