Nick Yelloly, a 28-year old racer from the U.K., has been named a BMW factory driver.

He will begin with the three-car AAI Motorsports team, behind the wheel of an M6 GT3 in the China GT Championship. The series’ first event of the season will be held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia on March 16-17.

Yelloly raced an M6 GT3 with Rowe Racing in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup in 2018 and participated in BMW’s DTM young driver tests. A full race program for Yelloly will be announced later; he has already been named as a driver for BMW in the this year’s 24 Hours of the Nürburgring.—Brian Morgan
