Congratulations to Old Hickory Chapter member Adam Nitti, who was this week’s Shell Fill-Up Friday winner! Adam’s winning photo caught our attention thanks to the awesome retro theme. That’s Adam’s highly-modified E30 325is in the shot, along with his friend Rob Case’s 2002tii at a country store in his home state of Tennessee.
Adam has been a member of the BMW CCA for twenty-plus years! His father was a huge BMW enthusiast as well, and got him involved with the club when he was a kid. “My very first car was a 1974 2002tii that inspired my love for all things BMW,” says Adam. “I loved the idea of joining a community of like-minded enthusiasts and becoming even more connected with the cars and the stories behind them.” We must say that’s a pretty sweet ride for a first car!
Adam says his favorite thing about being a member of the club is the access it provides to driving schools and BMW CCA Cub Racing—and of course the many friendships he’s made over the years.
And in case you were wondering what kind of goodies might be under the hood and carriage of Adam’s E30, he says that the car has received some nice upgrades, including an S52 engine and drivetrain from a 1999 M coupe, a Metric Mechanic racing LSD, Ground Control coil-over suspension, and a bunch of other nifty tidbits. And his buddy Rob’s 2002tii also sports some Alpina mods, too!
