Fill up that wagon, er, Touring! Last week’s $25 Shell gas card goes to Golden Gate Chapter member, Mike Ottati, and this picture of his 1994 E34 M5 Touring. If you’ve been to Legends of the Autobanhn the past few years, this Madeira Schwarz Touring might look familiar. But since it’s only one of two that color from that year, and only one of 28 in the US, it might otherwise not be that familiar. Mike has owned it for the past four years and been doing “a light, rolling restoration” since he has had it, like “a lot of clean up, a little paint work/touch up here and there, and rebuilding the suspension,” Mike added.
Mike has been a member for more than 13 years. “My favorite parts of the club are the driving schools and the social / cars and coffee meets,” he said. “I’m an occasional instructor, too. It’s really the people that you meet that make it great.”
