REASONS TO BUY A 3 SERIES
Our friends at WhatCar have a great article with several reasons to buy a BMW 3 series over its increasingly competitive rivals. Old rivals Mercedes-Benz and Audi have been joined in recent years by Cadillac, Jaguar and others seeking to steal the “benchmark” title from BMW’s 3 Series cars. But BMW doesn’t sit on its laurels, so WhatCar listed seven solid reasons to still choose BMW over the jealous wannabes.

7. Strong engines
There really aren’t many weak links in BMW’s engine range. The entry-level 1.5-litre petrol is surprisingly powerful, and our pick of the line-up, the 2.0-litre diesel engine in the 320d ED, is a real sweet spot. It’s got plenty of power, but also returns decent MPG.
