After a long haul to Pittsburgh, we got a couple of hours of sleep at the gorgeous Hotel Indigo in the East Liberty area of the city. The staff there staff kindly waited for our 2:00 a.m. arrival, and we grabbed our Wi-Fi codes and headed to the room to charge batteries and get some rest. Hotel Indigo is a boutique hotel minutes from our Sunday meeting point, and there couldn’t have been a better place to recover from the drive before heading back out in the morning to meet up with some Allegheny Chapter members. The Allegheny Chapter is home to a lot of tried and true BMW enthusiasts, so we were excited to meet them and hear their plans for Monterey!
We hung out in a very industrial part of Pittsburgh with a great view of the skyline, and chatted BMWs for the morning while taking some great photos of all of the cars. It turns out, 5 of the cars in attendance will be headed out west for Celebrate BMW, including the infamous “F-Bomb”.
After the photoshoot we headed over and had a great lunch with everyone, swapped stories on past O’Fests and the exciting things happening with the Allegheny Chapter in the coming years.
Then we headed off on the relatively short ride to Columbus, anticipating seeing some awesome, rare cars at the BMW Team RLL shop tomorrow.
