When it comes to sheer volume of BMW race cars competing in a single series, it’s hard to beat the SRO GT4 America championship. Yes, the BMW entries are all M4 GT4 EVOs, but the series has several BMW teams with talented drivers competing against each other and many other brands. BMW will have ten entries in the 2026 GT4 America season, and BMW teams come in as defending champs in every class (Silver, Pro-Am, Am).

Random Vandals Racing
Random Vandals Racing (RVR) will return to GT4 America after winning both the Silver and Pro-Am classes with BMW in 2025, with some returning drivers as well as some new faces. Kenton Koch won the Silver class title last year with Kevin Boehm but will move to the Pro-Am class this year. He’ll be driving the #94 car with Sam Craven, who won the Pro-Am class title last year with Josh Green in an RVR BMW. “Excited to be with RVR for a fourth consecutive year and to do it with Sam is going to be amazing,” said Koch. “I feel like we are going to make a pretty formidable pairing. Pro-Am is always super competitive and has insane battles! He’s coming off winning it last year, so I’ll certainly have pressure on my shoulders to help make it his second and my first Pro-Am title in 2026.”

RVR will be back in the Silver class as well, with Josh Green paired up in the #98 M4 GT4 EVO with series newcomer Bruno Columbo. Green is defending Pro-Am champion (with Sam Craven) and is also one of three drivers chosen for the 2026 BMW M Racing Academy. Columbo drove an Audi in four races in the Michelin Pilot Challenge series last year. “Super excited to be back with RVR for 2026!” said Green. “Joining up with Bruno and moving up to Silver is a challenge that I can’t wait to take on, especially with the support of Zimperium! I’ve learned a lot over the first year with the program, and I’m ready to take another leap forward this season.”

RVR will also have a third BMW entry in the Am class, with Denny Stripling and Judson Holt driving the #188 M4 GT4 EVO. Stripling and Holt drove a BMW together in the series last year for Fast Track Racing, which is not on the entry list for 2026. “We have always admired Paul Sparta, the Random Vandals Racing Team and all that they have accomplished,” said Holt. “We couldn’t be more excited to join their team and the opportunity to be part of their very talented driver line up.”

BimmerWorld
BimmerWorld returns to GT4 America as defending champs in the Am class and they were also a strong contender in the Pro-Am class as well. They’ll be back in both classes, with some shuffling of the driver lineup. Charlie Postins, who won the Am class twice over the last three years with team owner James Clay, has retired from racing, and James Walker, Jr. will take his place in the #36 car with Clay, competing in the Am class. Walker, Jr. has competed with the team over the last few years in the Pro-Am class with Tyler McQuarrie.

McQuarrie will be back in the #38 BMW in the Pro-Am class but will be driving with team and series newcomer Michael Petramolo. McQuarrie is the pro driver in the duo, but Petramolo brings in a lot of experience in fast cars, as he drove over the last several years in the Ferrari Challenge series, most recently in a 488 Challenge Evo. It will be a new experience to go from the mid-engined Ferrari to the front-engined BMW.

More. . . .
Auto Technic Racing won the GT4 Silver class championship with Zak Anderson in 2024 and will be back in both the Silver and Pro-Am classes, with drivers still to be announced.

Stephen Cameron Racing, who has a lot of previous experience with BMW and also competes with a Ford Mustang in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge series, will have a single BMW entry in GT4 America, with the drivers and class still to be announced.

Rigid Speed Company will return to the GT4 America series in 2026 after competing in the Am class in 2025. An announcement still needs to be made, but they will presumably be back with the father and son pairing of Joseph and Lucas Catania.

The Flying Lizard Motorsports team will also reportedly be in GT4 America with an M4 GT4 EVO, though details are still to be announced. Flying Lizard has previous experience with a BMW M4 GT3 EVO in the SRO GT America series as well as GT World Challenge America.

The GT4 America season gets underway at Sonoma Raceway in California on the weekend of March 26th-29th.
