A number of things were happening at VIR in addition to the racing on the last weekend in March.
1) A BimmerWorld BMW CCA Club Race School was held on the Thursday and Friday of race weekend. There were 26 graduates, with five going on to race on Saturday and Sunday.

2) Rooster Hall Racing’s Todd Brown displayed two cars in the paddock. One was his ex-Timo Glock Class One DTM car, the only one in the country on display at VIR before it goes to the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles (see David Hauteur’s story on bimmerlife.com for more on the car). The other was the #001 E36 M3 that Tom Milner’s Prototype Technology Group campaigned in IMSA beginning in 1995. Brown, who acquired the car from Club Racing founder Scott Hughes, will be racing it in the Peter Auto Classic Series at Spa, Le Mans, Imola, and Paul Ricard this year. More information on the car will appear in May Racing Lines.
