BimmerWorld Racing will return to the SRO Motorsports America series with a three-car effort in 2023. After a championship-winning season in 2022, James Clay and Charlie Postins will return to the GT4 America championship with a new G82-generation M4 GT4 wearing #36. “After the success of last year, it just made sense to do it all over again with Charlie. New car with new challenges, but same teammates and the same goal of a championship in 2023,” Clay says. “After five successful years racing the F82 M4 platform the team is eager to get the new G82 on track and get to work.”

James Walker, Jr. will also return to BimmerWorld for a fourth year in 2023 to compete in the GT4 America series with the #82 M4 GT4, which is also a new G82-generation car. Walker, Jr. will have a new teammate this year, as he will be joined by Tyler McQuarrie. McQuarrie has a great deal of racing experience and drove for the CarBahn team led by Steven Dinan for the last few seasons in the Michelin Pilot Challenge series. He won the 2019 championship with Jeff Westphal in an Audi R8 LMS GT4. “I’ve been racing against BimmerWorld for many years and have always admired their program,” says McQuarrie on social media. “I look forward to going to battle with them and my new co-driver James Walker, Jr. Can’t wait to start development on the G82 platform but it sure looks the part!”

Bill Auberlen and Chandler Hull will also pair up again in the #94 M4 GT3 in the GT World Challenge championship after a very successful year together in 2022, when they racked up six podiums including a win in the 8-hour season finale at Indianapolis. Auberlen and Hull could be two of the busiest BMW drivers in the world this year, as they will also compete together in the IMSA GTD class, and Hull has already won the Asian Le Mans Series championship this year with Walkenhorst Motorsport. “Bill and Chandler are fantastic in the GT3 platform, and we are excited to see the true potential of this car in 2023 after an inaugural season where BMW often struggled with the balance of performance,” says Clay.
