“I ordered my X5 new and took delivery on August 29, 2009,” said John. “It was my second X5, but my first diesel vehicle of any brand. It has been a reliable vehicle, and I recently passed 131,000 miles on it. With the sport package, it handles great—and the seats are super-comfortable for long trips. I really enjoy the torque of the diesel engine, which also gives me super fuel economy. I would certainly buy another diesel if BMW still offered them in the U.S.”
Asked how he found out about the BMW CCA, he said, “I was registering for a class at the Performance Center and was asked if I was a member. That was the first I had heard of the club. They told me about the discount I could get on classes as a club member, so I hung up, joined the BMW CCA, and then called back to enroll in the driving school. The benefit of a discount at the Performance Center is what got me to join the club, but the activities and people are what keep me as a member.”
