It was a weekend of mixed results for BMW teams competing in the GT4 America race at Road America in Wisconsin last weekend of August 16-17, 2025, as two of the championship leaders lost ground, one extended their class points lead and another took the points lead from another BMW team. One BMW team also got their first class win in the series.

The SRO GT4 America series usually runs two races per weekend, but there was only one at Road America last weekend. The first race on Saturday was postponed due to inclement weather, which also caused the GT World Challenge America race that preceded it to be red-flagged and stopped. The GT4 America race canceled at Road America will be made up on the next race weekend at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama.

Race two was held in much better weather on Sunday and as usual in this series, there was a lot of action. Random Vandals Racing drivers Josh Green and Sam Craven came into Road America with the Pro-Am class points lead but things went awry early in the race. Green went wide and off the track in the opening laps and lost positions in the #98 M4 GT4 EVO, then later on broke the left front suspension when going fender to fender with Zac Anderson in the #52 Auto Technic Racing BMW, which was competing in the Silver class.

Kevin Boehm and Kenton Koch extended their points lead with a second place finish in the Silver class.

The DNF for Green and Craven opened the door for BimmerWorld Racing drivers Tyler McQuarrie and James Walker, Jr. to move closer to them in the championship with a solid third place finish in the class in their #82 M4 GT4 EVO.

In the Silver class, Random Vandals Racing drivers Kenton Koch and Kevin Boehm also came into Road America with the points lead and they were able to extend it, thanks to some luck. Koch was running second during his stint in the #97 M4 GT4 EVO, and co-driver Kevin Boehm ended up in the lead after good timing on a pit stop right before a caution period. Boehm came under immediate pressure from a Porsche on the restart and lost the lead, dropping back to fifth after going off track while battling for position. Another full course caution led to more carnage on the restart, when three of the cars in front of Boehm collided or went off track, allowing Boehm to slip through and finish second overall and in the Silver class.

Tyler McQuarrie and James Walker, Jr. finished third place in Pro-Am.

In the Am class, father and son duo Lucas and Joseph Catania scored their first victory in the Rigid Speed Company #17 M4 GT4 EVO (shown in top photo). BimmerWorld drivers James Clay and Charlie Postins had a rough weekend, as radiator issues forced them to retire the #36 M4 GT4 EVO, which was off the pace from the beginning of the race.

Joseph & Lucas Catania (in middle in blue suits) won the Am class.

The next race weekend for GT4 America will be at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama on September 5th-7th, which will be a triple-header weekend with a third race to make up for the canceled race one at Road America.
