The EVO package for the M4 GT3 was introduced by BMW M Motorsport back in late May at the Nürburgring in Germany and was at the track testing on August 2nd in preparation for delivery to teams later this year. BMW M works drivers Jens Klingmann and Augusto Farfus were both on hand to put in test laps in the car.

The M4 GT3 EVO updates include new anti-roll bars front and rear, larger rear brake discs, and a more driver-friendly differential, as well as smaller mirrors, larger air outlets on the front wheel arches and a revised rear wing. The drivers were satisfied with the test.

“The Nordschleife, due to its unique characteristics, poses particular challenges to a race car,” said Klingmann “The car’s base was extremely good from the first lap, especially in terms of drivability. As a driver, you immediately have full confidence in the BMW M4 GT3 EVO. These are optimal conditions to now move on to fine-tuning and thereby further improve performance. I can hardly wait for the first race appearances in 2025 with the new car.”

The new M4 GT3 EVO (which is available as a complete car or an upgrade kit to existing cars) is expected to be available in November. According to reporting on Sportscar365.com, the car is set to make it’s debut at the 24 hour Dubai race in January. British team Century Motorsport is set to race the EVO at Dubai, and the factory supported Team WRT may also race the car at Dubai, though that has not yet been decided.
