We’re excited to announce the 2022 edition of the BMW CCA’s MX1 Enthusiast Weekend! Registration is now open, so mark your calendar for April 8–9. We’ve lined up an awesome array of fun social and driving activities at the BMW Performance Center and the BMW CCA headquarters in Greer, South Carolina—the center of all things BMW in upstate South Carolina!
MX1 especially celebrates BMW’s M models and X vehicles; the 1 represents one community, one enthusiast club, and one special weekend, but it also brings the entire BMW community together in this new BMW CCA tradition, and provides something we can all look forward to.
Friday, April 8–9:

M Chapter Club Day at the BMW Performance Center
This event gives you the opportunity to sample several current BMW M and X models in five different driving stations. Driving stations include the “rat race,” with two M cars competing against each other on a skid pad; a timed autocross event for friendly competition; off-road driving in an X3 or an X5; and some M car laps around the handling course. Finally, buckle up in the passenger seat and hang on for a high-speed hot lap as Performance Center instructors drift around the track! Register here.

Griot’s Garage Caffeine & Gasoline at BMW CCA headquarters

On Saturday, the MX1 weekend continues with Caffeine & Gasoline, sponsored by Griot’s Garage at BMW CCA headquarters. All members are invited to park their BMWs on the twenty-acre campus and lawn surrounding the lake for a huge all-BMW gathering! During this Cars & Coffee-style event, Griot’s Garage will demonstrate car-care techniques, and we will introduce special guests from BMW of North America. In addition, members will have the opportunity to shop at the BMW CCA Lifestyle store, and you’ll see some rare BMW models up close in the headquarters garage.

Beer, wine, soda, and appetizers will be served throughout the race—dinner begins at 6:30.

All members are welcome, and the basic registration fee for the event is only $25 per member—which includes an event T-shirt and parking at the Griot’s Garage Caffeine & Gasoline event. The exclusive after-hours driving event at the BMW Performance Center is available for only $99 per member. Our host hotel Hampton Inn in Downtown Greer is offering a rate of $129 per night.
