Attention all members: The National Capital Chapter and M Chapter of the BMW CCA have organized a tour of the new BMW Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC) recently opened in Baltimore, Maryland with BMW NA.
The opportunity to go inside and take a tour of a BMW VDC is rare and does not occur often. Opened last month, BMW’s Baltimore VDC is the automaker’s newest in the U.S., and joins the likes of others including the Oxnard VDC which is occasionally toured by the Los Angeles Chapter. To learn more about the private and closely-guarded operations that occur within a BMW VDC, read our article detailing the most recent tour Club members had the opportunity of attending back in 2018.
In addition to seeing how imported BMW vehicles are processed once arriving in the U.S., tour attendees will also take part in a larger kickoff event celebrating the 50th anniversary of BMW M and the introduction of several important electric vehicles.
This event is scheduled for Friday, May 6 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. EST to allow for the behind-the-scenes tours and demos of an actual production workday. This event is limited to the first 100 Club members and includes light refreshments.

Hunt Valley Horsepower cars and coffee is truly one of the premier automotive gatherings in the area, and BMW CCA members will their own dedicated parking area. After the cars and coffee, attendees will hit the backroads of Baltimore like they’ve never been seen before and end up at a special place for lunch.
