IMSA fans longing for one more round of racing before the holidays can tune in to IMSA TV on Sunday, November 10 for the four-hour Michelin Encore race at Sebring International Raceway.
There are eighteen cars on the entry list, including ten LMP3 prototypes, four GT3 cars, and four GT4 cars. The lone BMW on the list is the #96 Turner Motorsport M4 GT4, with Robby Foley and Vin Barletta at the controls. They will be running against a Mercedes-AMG from Riley Motorsports, a Mustang GT4 from PF racing, and an Audi R8 from CarBahn with Peregrine Racing, winners of this year’s Michelin Pilot Series GTD class team title.
IMSA awards $10,000 to each class winner, but racers do not score points in either the WeatherTech or Michelin Pilot Series. Teams are not required to be active participants in any IMSA-sanctioned series to participate in the Michelin IMSA SportsCar Encore.—Brian Morgan
