The final two races of the 2026 SRO GT4 America season took place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the weekend of October 9th-11th, in what turned out to be a championship-winning weekend for Random Vandals Racing driver Sam Craven, who won the very competitive Pro-Am class drivers’ championship on the strength of nine podiums in thirteen races, including five wins.
Craven wrapped the championship up with a second-place finish in the first race at Indy, followed by a fourth-place finish in race two. All but one of Craven’s podium finishes came with co-driver Kenton Koch, who finished second to Craven in the championship after missing one race weekend for the birth of his child. Random Vandals Racing also won the Pro-Am class team championship. “It wasn’t easy this year, but everyone out there kept us honest,” said Craven after Indy. “Just being able to do it with this team again, it feels incredible. Today we weren’t able to win the race, but we didn’t have to. I’m super grateful for Kenton and the incredible drive that he had.” Craven has now won two consecutive GT4 America Pro-Am championships, as he also won it last year with Random Vandals and co-driver Josh Green.

Things didn’t turn out as well for BMW teams in the Am class at Indy. The BimmerWorld Racing and ACI Motorsport teams came in with a good shot at winning the title, but the championship ultimately went to TechSport Racing Ford Mustang GT4 drivers Frankie Muniz and Tyler Stone, who came on strong in the last few races of the year. Muniz, who also races in the NASCAR Truck series, competed in the Formula BMW USA championship back in 2006. The BimmerWorld duo of James Clay and James Walker, Jr. seemed to be in the driver’s seat through a good part of the year and came into Indy just one point behind the Mustang drivers but seventh and sixth place finishes at Indy did them in. They finished second in the standings with ACI Motorsports drivers (and brothers) Alex and Michael Garcia in third.
BimmerWorld drivers James Clay and James Walker, Jr. finished second in the Am class. They had five podiums during the season, including wins at COTA and Sebring.
In the Silver class, Auto Technic Racing drivers Francis Selldorff and Kevin Boehm (who won the championship in 2025 in a Random Vandals BMW with Kenton Koch) finished third in the championship, with Random Vandals Racing drivers Josh Green and Bruno Columbo in fourth. The Silver class championship went to RS1 Porsche drivers Luca Mars and Spencer Pumpelly.
Auto Technic Racing drivers Francis Selldorff and Kevin Boehm finished third in the championship. They had six podium finishes during the season.
Despite only coming away with one championship, it was another very successful year for BMW in the GT4 America series with the M4 GT4 EVO. With eleven entries throughout the season, BMW teams came away with 11 podium finishes in the Silver class, 14 podium finishes in Pro-Am (including five wins) and 21 podiums in the Am class (including five wins). There were five different BMW entries with podium finishes in the Am class, and BMW teams finished in second, third and fourth in the championship. BMW is currently in the lead in the SRO Global GT4 championship standings (which tallies all GT4 series sanctioned by SRO around the world), but Toyota has closed the gap.
