Last year, Steve Saxty—author of the award-winning BMW by Design books—gave some M Chapter leaders an early look at his new project, M: Beyond The Badge, and the presentation generated a great deal of excitement. It is an ambitious undertaking that has involved four months in Europe and more than 100 interviews with past and present M GmbH personnel. Before leaving, Steve also met with M GmbH’s executive management to discuss the structure of the books and their launch later this year.
Now he has offered to show us the books again—still very much a work in progress—well ahead of their end-of-year release. Steve would also welcome our input on finalizing the structure, pricing, and the special edition signed by Jochen Neerpasch. It is a rare opportunity to see behind the scenes as the definitive story of BMW M is brought together—and to help shape it. This is a must-see event for any M enthusiast.
