ROWE Racing has announced their racing plans for 2023, which stay consistent with the program they had last season. ROWE will field a pair of M4 GT3s in the five-round GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup races, which include races at Monza (Italy), Paul Ricard (France), Spa (Belgium), the Nürburgring (Germany), and Barcelona (Spain). The #98 car will be piloted by Philipp Eng, Marco Wittmann, and Nick Yelloly, while the #998 car will be driven by Max Hesse, Dan Harper, and Neil Verhagen.
The Nürburgring 24 Hour is one of the most important (if not THE most important) GT endurance race for BMW. ROWE will enter two cars in that race, which takes place on the weekend of May 18th-21st. Maxime Martin, Marco Wittmann, Dries Vanthoor, and Sheldon van der Linde will drive the #98 car, and Connor De Phillippi, Philipp Eng, Augusto Farfus, and Nick Yelloly will drive the #99 car. To prepare for the race, the team will enter both cars in the first three rounds of the Nürburgring Endurance Series season.
The Spa 24 Hour in Belgium, which is part of the GT World Challenge Europe schedule, will take place a month after the Nürburgring 24 Hour. “With their experience in the iconic 24 hour races in particular, the team is always a favorite to win,” said Head of BMW M Motorsport Andreas Roos. “Our joint successes at Spa in 2016 and the Nürburgring in 2020 have proved that. ROWE Racing also gained valuable experience at the other GT World Challenge Europe races in 2022 and will be our second trump card alongside BMW M Team WRT in the battle for overall wins in this series. I’m looking forward to racing together in the 2023 season, which will hopefully see us have many reasons to celebrate.”
