BMW Sends Season’s Greetings With Christmas Film Starring Christoph Waltz

Christoph Waltz BMW Christmas Film

The man behind everyone’s favorite diminutive Bond villain is back in another BMW short film. While the last video in which he appeared for BMW involved him and BMW CEO Oliver Zipse taking the then-upcoming iX on a test drive, the latest edition is intended as a warm welcome to the holiday season. Cameos are made by Head of Design at BMW i Kai Langer, fashion designer Alexa Chung, and Alex Hirschi, who is better known as Supercar Blondie. Just like last year, Oliver Zipse also plays a main role.

Although we can’t spoil the details, the clip is worth watching not only for its humorous plot, but also because of appearances made by a certain BMW 3.0CS that we first got to appreciate in last year’s short film starring Waltz. There’s also a certain BMW 507 roadster finished in yellow with a black hardtop that we initially became acquainted with in 2015, when BMW celebrated the 60th anniversary of the exalted model at the Welt.

In the end, after attempting to avoid attending the BMW Christmas party and instead hoping to meet with Oliver Zipse for some kind of important discussion, Waltz overcomes his introverted nature and tells people how he really feels about the holiday before he is finally chauffeured away in an Aventurine Red BMW iX.—Alex Tock
