Next month, during Monterey Car Week, Legends Of The Autobahn West will feature a broad variety of some of the most compelling cars produced by BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi. Considered the premier concours event for German cars, this year’s gathering will include a display of the upcoming Alpina B8 Gran Coupé.
The Alpina B8 Gran Coupé succeeds the B6 Gran Coupé in terms of its place in the lineup, and will soon join the XB7 SAV and the 205-mph Alpina B7 in the U.S. model portfolio. With 612 horsepower from 5,500 to 6,500 rpm and 590 pound-feet of torque from 2,500 to 5,000 on tap courtesy of the specialized 4.4-liter N63 twin-turbocharged V8, xDrive all-wheel-drive, and a level of luxury and individuality exclusive to Alpina, the B8 Gran Coupé offers the perfect antidote to the BMW M8 Gran Coupé. The Alpina B8 Gran Coupé to be displayed at Legends Of The Autobahn West is one of the first production examples to reach the U.S., and the model’s market introduction is slated for next spring.
